I have never had a problem with New Bern Lowe's. I buy a lot ahead of time to pick up at Customer Service. When the order is ready, I get an email. Sometimes, I even get a phone call. Customer Service has always been helpful when I arrive and they are ready to help everyone who comes to their desk. I've had keys copied there. I've gotten paint there. I've done returns here, but not often. I've pressed many buttons if someone wasn't in their department without any issues and they have always been happy to help. I have had offers to help put items in my vehicle. Many staff members who walk by ask if there is anything they can help me with. I haven't had any horrible lines to wait on, but I am not impatient like another reviewer must be. I am always able to find items quickly when I am there just by looking for it on the Lowe's app and it shows it's location in the store! I've also bought a ton of plants there too. I can certainly say that I will go to Lowe's again and again. It's a great store here in New Bern!
The second visit, we needed some hardware and PVC pipe for the boat. Score!
The staff is very nice. Mrs Brenda was the lady I spoke with. She was very helpful. Restroom was clean. Store employees are very friendly and kind.
2 lanes open and people lined up. Unacceptable. Shame.
The first visit, we needed to rent a truck to deliver some stuff to the boat. No dice...they rent neither trucks nor trailers. There is a U-Haul place a couple of miles away, though.
Although they do have some great employees, most avoid making eye contact with customers and they are more task focused than customer focused. Today I had to interrupt 4 female employees clustered together in the flooring section. They absolutely refused to even notice customers within 5 feet. One reluctantly agreed to help me find an item. The others were visibly annoyed by the interruption. I'm sorry. I"m just the customer.
As good as it gets in New Bern for the sort of things that you buy here. There isn't a Home Depot (not that I could find, at least), and this city is very spread out. You'll either find the location convenient or not, depending on your starting point.
