Animal Care Center has been caring for my pets since I moved to New Bern in 2002. I have been able to count on them from puppies and kittens to seniors, and from basic check ups to major health issues. My pets have probably created one of their largest patient files. I recommend them highly.

They do a great job here sending you reminders about due dates for your pets. I took off a star becuase the vet techs I have had here are very unfriendly, not even giving a smile. I have also been frustrated that they don't have the medicines my dogs need so I have to get a paper prescription and order them online which is a pain. Lastly in my experience they don't greet you on arrival and the desk at patient height is so covered in clutter that it's really hard to find the sign in sheet and that combined with how messy it is behind the desk with paperwork makes me concerned about things getting lost and confused which has happened a couple times. I am happy with the care my pets have received though I prefer the female DVM becuase she was a lot nicer and took more time to listen to what was going on with my dog and explain to me what it was and how to administer meds and take care of the issue at home. I will keep going here but I wish I could try a different vet but these guys are the only ones accepting new patients. I don't feel super comfortable after my experiences with the vet techs having to let my dog go to the back alone or stay here for an overnight or something like that. Again this is just my experience here and it seems to me that they have a pretty good relationship with regular patients and people that have been coming here for a long time.
Trust these folks with my pets. A little expensive, but my dogs are worth it.
This is the best place in town for our furbabies! The vets and staff are just awesome!
