The greatest Starbucks in New Bern
Always stop on my way home from work. Seldom an exceptional encounter. I'm not typically a complainer. Today though: Ordered a hot chai latte & a cafe latte with sugar in the raw. Got an Oprah Chai tea & a cafe latte with no sugar and an attitude from the barista. Harris Teeter rocks but this particular Starbucks just costed them a customer...
Harris Teeter has the poorest excuse of a Starbucks I have ever experienced. The coffee is not bad, but the customer service is the worst I ever had. I have made several complaints about it to management, but they do not seem to care. My wife has been treated extremely bad as well. I would rather wait for Target to open and Go there.
This is the Starbucks inside of the grocery store, Harris Teeter. This Starbucks is, in my opinion, better than the one in Target, because the employees at HT are actually trained in how to make Starbucks drinks, unlike the employees of Target, who are not officially trained. You can really tell the difference in your drink, and the customer service. HT usually has smiling, friendly baristas, with the exception of a few of them. One in particular has an attitude problem - I continue to be friendly and courteous, but this lady is just rude with me. Oh well. They have usually always made my drinks correctly. Once I ordered oatmeal and they put way too much water and I had to pour it out in the trash (not a big deal). I regularly visit this Starbucks, at least every two weeks, and sometimes, more than once a week. There are a few tables to sit and drink your coffee, but it's not very private and there is a lot going on in that area. The pharmacy is right next to it, as well as several stands of Starbucks merchandise, which would be nice to see condensed into fewer. It looks kind of messy. Overall, this is a great Starbucks and I will continue to visit.
