The young salesman was very nice and helpful, they gave me the best offer that I had received anywhere in Jacksonville where I live, but the offer did not reflect 3,000 over book for my trade as the ad indicated. When I inquired about this, at first I was told that it only was for new car trade ins, when I informed them that this was not what the ad said, I was then told it was because the offer expired at the end of the month. When I explained that the Internet sales person implied that the offer would still stand, then I was told that they would have done it, but my car had high mileage and would have to be wholesaled. I explained that I had given them the mileage before I even bothered to come over, but my arguments were to no avail.
Great customer service, salesman was very professional and didn't force a sale. I would definitely buy from them again. Terrible dealership. Purchased three vehicles from Toyota of New Bern and will NEVER give them any future business again. They sold me and my wife a wrecked Lexus that they certified. Airbags have issues and warranty doesnt cover any of it because it was due to wreck. They didn't care to make it right. Treated us poorly when they were in the wrong.
I contacted the dealer through the website to express interest in a late model previously owned model after seeing their ad for 3,000 over book on any trade in. I told them my car had 168k miles on it. I was contacted the next day and told that it was discussed with the sales manager, they wanted to see my car cause they could use my Mercedes on their used car lot, and to please bring it in cause it was the last day of the month and the special was due to end. I explained that I was on the road on business, but I would bring it the next day if that would be okay. I was told that this would be great, have it there at opening @8:30, and a salesman would meet me.
This was the best car buying experience I have ever had in my life. The General Manager was fair with my trade ins and the salesman was just superb in his knowledge and experience and in treating me like family. On a 1-10 scale they get a solid 10. Thanks for the fantastic experience. I would recommend Toyota of New Bern to everyone I know.
My wife and I have been a customer of Toyota of New Bern since 1997. The reason is simple, they treat us like family. The personal in sales have always given us a fabulous deal, the service department has time and time again gone out of their way for us doing the little extra things that kind and professional people do, the management bent over backwards to ensure that we were satisfied with all involved. If you want a friendly atmosphere, professional service department, and management to stop and say hello and ask what's new in your life, vice pushing a sale on you then Toyota of New Bern is your place and ours to buy vehicles from, we have been extremely happy doing business with them and will continue too!
Nevertheless, I did purchase a midsize truck from them because they beat the best offer I had received previously by $2,000, and the best offer I had received on a Toyota by $5,000. They also offer free oil changes and tire rotations for the life of the vehicle. I hope that promotion doesn't turn out to be misleading as well. The salesman Scott and the business people were really sharp, positive and helpful. I'll go back next time I need a car, but I will watch their promotions REAL closely.
