I have used Avis on more than one occasion. But recently my wife used them to a rent a car and it was the biggest disaster I have ever seen. Before starting her long drive across the state with our daughter, she noticed the tire pressure light come on. Rather than chance it, she decided to bring the car back to Avis. Halfway through the 3 mile drive from our house to Avis, the tire blew while they were on a highway. She called Avis and the manager insisted she call THEIR roadside assistance. My wife, who has AAA, asked if she would be charged for calling their roadside assistance. The MANAGER DID NOT KNOW. But she obliged and called them. A tow truck came and brought them to Avis. They gave my wife the keys to a new car. When my wife started the SECOND car, the CHECK ENGINE light came on. She immediately went inside to inform the manager, who had no idea there was an issue with that car, indicating that they do not inspect vehicles upon return. She was then given a THIRD car that finally ran fine, but later that day we were contacted by Avis and told that WE would be held FINANICIALLY responsible for the tow truck AND the blown tire, neither of which were my wife's fault, nor should we have to pay for. We will never rent from any Avis again. This whole situation was just descipable, and a product of their own lazy negligence. If you want a decent rental experience, rent somewhere else.
Only giving one star because I have to. It would be zero if the system would allow it!
-5 Stars .I Do not recommend this Newborn Airport Avis sucks. Go two doors down to Alamo save yourself the headache, time, and most of all money.
