Love Smithfield's BBQ. Got off the interstate looking forward to a BBQ sandwich. NO BBQ until tomorrow, Chicken only. A BBQ restaurant without BBQ, that's a first for me.
We love this place! Cool sink to wash your hands while waiting in line, very very friendly folks. This has to be the most friendly place in town. They always smile, welcome us in, joke with us, and treat us great. The food is always great, never had a problem at all. They keep the building clean inside and out and are just wonderfully quick and attentive to anything you might need.
As good as you will find.. Compares very well with famous BBQ placess

Going to Smithfields has become a tradition for us when we are in Eastern NC. The BBQ cannot be beat, nor can the service. The staff is friendly and the stores are clean, to the point that they have a wash station where you can clean your hands without having to go into the restroom. LOVE THIS PLACE!
