The food was great, once we finally got it. It took over 30 minutes for 3 burgers to come out to our table. The restaurant was not very busy on this particular night, and our waitress was not very attentive. There was apparently a big party in the party room, but the staff made no effort to communicate to us that there was a hold up in the kitchen. When our food finally did come we were approached by the GM who put our ticket on the table to show us what time our order was put in (which was 40 minutes prior) and made no real effort to accommodate our table other than taking $6.88 off of our $28 bill. My friends and I were very unimpressed and will likely not be returning to this restaurant.
Nice local spot in downtown New Bern. The menu is mostly typical bar food but with their unique twists, lots of burgers. The chicken sandwich was good. Great beer list.
The beer was great. The food was average. The service was under par. The draft list looked great and the beer I ordered was very good. The place is obviously trying to be a burger destination, even offering bison upgrades, which I took advantage of (for $5 extra). The menu explains the different levels to which you can cook meat, and the waitress took orders noting our requests. But my order of medium came out well done, and my compatriot's order of medium rare, came out medium well. The cook needs to go read the menu to see the descriptions. The lady behind the bar was kind, but very slow with the service. Despite pretty few people being there, it seemed to take forever before she took our food orders. Once we had our food, she checked on us only once. She could have easily sold me more beer if she had checked on us more often. I was there for two hours and nursed one beer through it. Two stars for the beer. One out of two stars for the food. Zero stars for the service.
The Sweet potato fries were great but even better was the special warm syrup fry dip. Creamy and delicious!
Very unique decor. Great military theme. The burger I ordered what the GI Joe and it was perfect. Cooked perfectly and I highly recommend the Chipotle BBQ sauce as it wasn’t even spicy but had amazing flavor.
Great burgers, and even better atmosphere.
Great food and great service. Cozy environment for a pub! Food and drinks are reasonably priced as well.
