There is a back deck that is decorated with fun things like herbs, a old motor, skis with plants in them and more. It is the smoking spot and fun to hang out there.
I love the decor here! There are paintings by local artists (some you can purchase), there are antique outboard motors, nautical flags and lots of interesting things to check out.

Excellent speak easy. Over the top staff. Comfortable environment. The local music talent is the best in town. The only negative to me is too bad it's not larger. ( Occupancy). From top to bottom,. Not enough stars to rate. When in New Bern, stop by the Pelican and say hello

Great place to have a drink and listen to great musicians! Staff are super nice too!
We were greeted by Asha - she was helpful and patient and friendly and it turns out not only does she serve drinks but she is a talented musician too.
Monica and I stopped in yesterday after hearing from a friend that it is a great local pub and we are sure glad we did.
