The best place to shop for antiques in Eastern NC! The staff is amazing!
Got some really old stuff still in excellent usable condition. Unfortunately, also extremely over priced.
If I could rate my experience lower than a 1, such as a 0.00001, I would. There were a lot of things I would have purchased but did not because of how I was treated by the people who worked there. The man said hello to others and asked them if they needed help finding anything. I NEVER heard a word out of his mouth, and he looked right at me more than once. I'm thinking it was because I had my mixed race niece with me, as everyone he spoke to was Caucasian. It's possible this man does not approve of races mixing. I'll never spend a single penny here ever.
I wanted to love this place but they do not treat you fairly...I took a couple items to auction. I never heard back for months so I went to check. My camel back sofa had two legs broken and the trim on the upholstery was hanging when I saw it in the auction room. Not sure what took place but the shop owner said he would repair it. I do not know if he did. I again did not hear from him so I called and he said it sold and I would have a check in ten days. Over a month later a check came for $14. The sofa was worth so much more than that. It was in very good condition when I brought it in. It had a down feather cushion and horse hair insides. The fabric had no tears or worn areas. It was a solid neutral color that would work with many interiors. I also brought him fireplace irons. I was never paid for those. I called and asked about them and the owner, Mr Franklin, said he would check and call me back within two days. It has been two weeks. I have not heard a word. I spoke to other dealers in town and they said he is a crook. Franklin's may give you a deal if you are buying but it may be because they are not fair to someone selling. Seller beware!
My husband and I shop here often. We are always treated with kindness by the owners and given good deals on what we purchase. We have gotten so many nice pieces of furniture and nik-naks here and always for a great price. We will always shop here!
