I have never been so rudely treated when walking into a boutique. The owner made us feel as though we were not worthy of shopping in her store, and even made a disgusted face to the clients she was helping when we walked in. Completely uncalled for!
The absolute best bridal store in Eastern North Carolina... Miss Nell makes appointments with her brides...so she can give them the Thornbury bride experience. Her gowns are GORGEOUS ... designer gowns from Spain, Italy...... OMG... haute couture gowns...her selection of wedding gowns is incredible... I have not seen these gowns anywhere else... and I have been to a lot of bridal stores with my sister. She is getting married in February and we have been to several bridal stores from Raleigh to Wilmington to Greenville.....and nothing compares to Thornbury Brides... the service is incredible and the gowns will leave you speechless... My sister has tried on over 50 gowns in the last six months... Miss Nell said she could try on as many as it took to make her happy.... the second one was the winner... Wish we had gone there first... would have saved a lot of time.....If you want to feel like a blushing bride...go to Thornbury Brides .... Thank you, Nell, my sister looks beautiful!! and I cant wait to catch the bouquet!!
Nell is the best! She truly cares about every single bride! They are by appointment only so you can't just walk in and look at dresses. It's done this way so you get a truly personalized and VIP experience! Thornbury has the one of a kind, jaw dropping dresses that will have you glowing on your wedding day! This was hands down the best experience ive ever had when buying anything! She was so extremely helpful and caring. It made the whole environment amazing and laid back.

As for the negative reviews I see here - this store is BY APPOINTMENT ONLY and it clearly says so at the front door! When you make an appointment, you have the whole store and the full attention of the owner, other customers are not browsing while you are being fitted. So please please please, do not listen to reviews of people who did not read the signs. If you want to browse, you can, but you have to make an appointment :) The owner is very sweet and accommodating
At the time we were visiting North Carolina from California; if this the kind of "southern hospitality" everyone raves about, I don't want any part of it!
