This company is an embarrassment to the medical community. My daughter was referred out to this company for x-rays by a local sports medicine clinic. She has not 1, but 2 insurance policies yet this company tries to hold me liable for payment. I did not receive my firat bill from them until a year after using their services. After repeated calls and numerous attempts to find out what was going on, i discovered that during the initial visit, they billed the wrong insurance company. I provided them with the insurance information they required, I was assured that the problem would be resolved. Shortly thereafter the bills stopped coming. Next thing I know, the account is in collections!. I call the company and they tell me that since they billed the wrong insurance company, received payment, then had the payment pulled a year later because they billed the wrong company. Then they proceed to tell me that their internal policies do not permit them to bill the correct insurance company because the debt is more than 3 months old. Instead, they want me to pay. Why have insurance? Needless to say, they sent me collections.
I was seen by them many times over a 3 year period. First couple of visits I had a primary and secondary insurance, everything was billed fine. After a year, I dropped my primary insurance, making my secondary my only insurance. They completely deleted all insurance out of my account and did not update the information even after giving them my insurance card multiple times. I ended up with a bill close to $1000 that showed up in collections 2 years after my last appointment with no warning. I tried to call coastal and figure out what the problem was and I was rudely passed back and forth until finally demanding my receipts which clearly show where my insurance was dropped off of my account.
Sent 2 separate bills from same company for one service.. one is sent to collections other I caught in time.
Wish I had read the reviews before entrusting this group for my wife's annual mammogram screening. For 15 yrs she has experienced competent radiogoist, having her film read within a week even after request of film from other offices due to recent relocations. Not so with this group....total unacceptable!!!! Her screening was Jan. 6, the office received her film from a Raleigh group on the 16th but as of today, 1-25-17, has NOT been read....leaving her to worry for three freaking weeks! Not to mention, she had to contact the Cedar Point office to find out this information since no one took the time or concern to contact her. Being new to the area along with many new residents in our community as well, we will never recommend this group!
Excellent treatment for venous insufficiency. I was referred to these guys due to a blood clot. Care was excellent. They narrowed the offending vein with laser inside the leg. No more pain or swollen ankles. Lots of follow up. Results so much better than expected.
If you are seen here, make 100% sure they have your proper insurance and follow up with them early and often. They will take every chance to get more $$$ out of you that they can and if they don't win they will send you right into collections.
